Hello everyone!
My name is Brit or BrittyBoo275 and I am a variety streamer on Twitch. I am doing a 12-hour charity livestream in support of the Calgary Humane Society.
I have previously adopted 3 fur babies from the Calgary Humane Society, and here is a little information about them!
Chicklet
I adopted Chicklet in 2015 when she was 10 years old. She was a senior tabby kitty and sadly due to various medical conditions she was returned to the shelter around 3 times.
When I first saw her photo and bio on the adoptions website, I instantly fell in love with her, and I hadn't even met her yet! I quickly got in contact with CHS and made an appointment to meet her.
When we had our first meeting, she was all lovey dovey and was all over me. I could tell that she really needed a good home, and I was hoping I could be the one to make that a reality for her. That same day I filled out the adoption paperwork, and she came home with me.
From approximately November 2015 to September 2019, she was my best friend and I loved her to bits. On September 14, 2019 she crossed the rainbow bridge due to cancer. I was so grateful that she lived out her final years in happiness and love, as that was all I ever wanted for her.
Galaxy
I adopted Galaxy a few months later in March 2020 also from CHS when she was 4 years old. I felt I had given myself enough time to heal from losing Chicklet, and I was ready to open my heart and home to a new fur baby.
Galaxy came with some behavioral issues due to being abandoned by one of her previous owners. She was living in a foster home for a while before being adopted by me, since she was quite skittish and the shelter environment made her frightened and uncomfortable.
On the other hand, Galaxy is a very loving and social kitty once she gains trust in people. When I got to meet her, it was in the shelter and she was very...very nervous. Although, once I sat down beside her, she clung onto me and didn't want to move, which I thought was very sweet. Once again, that same day, I filled out paperwork for her and had to wait a little while to take her home due to requiring a microchip.
Upon bringing her home, she became very loving and affectionate and followed me everywhere and was quite talkative! Now she is 5 years old and lives with me and my boyfriend in her forever home.
Munchy
I adopted Munchy from CHS as well in July 2021. He is my most recent adoption and he is 2 years old. I wanted to open my heart and home to a second cat, so with my boyfriend's blessing, we started looking for another fur baby.
I stumbled upon Munchy on July 9, 2021 and I was already at CHS looking at another kitty named Bandit. Unfortunately, I did not get much of a connection with Bandit, and something in me was telling me to look at Munchy. I asked the adoptions counsellor if I could see Munchy, and I was taken to his room.
Upon walking in, Munchy was instantly wanting attention and pets and love. He was headbutting me, gave kisses, and was very talkative. He was busy making biscuits on his blanket, and he was a total sweetheart. Me, being the mushy person I am, instantly teared up and fell in love. I then placed a hold on him pending adoption, and his adoption became final on July 10th, and he has been a thriving member of our family ever since!
By donating to my page, you are helping the Calgary Humane Society make a difference in the lives of over 7,700 animals in need each year.
