Swimming the Strait for Hope 2016
This is a journey...it begins with a simple story. A story about two brothers. An older brother that held a watchful eye over the younger. A little brother that looked up to the eldest with admiration. Two brothers connected by the heart.
My name is Michael Popp. When my older brother MJ passed away last year, life changed. Words cannot express how thankful I am to have had so many wonderful years with him.
Thank you MJ...for seeing the best in people, for challenging the world to become better, for teaching us the importance of a compassionate heart, for always looking out for your little brother.
The goal, raising $50,000 for a great cause. Calgary Humane Society!
For the late MJ Popp. Who loved his dog Rickard! You always held my hand when I needed it, you always had my back.
“May every animal in the world find a loving home they need and deserve.”
The dream, crossing the Northumberland Strait! I will be walking into chilly waters the morning of August 18th, 2016 and will swim the Northumberland Strait from New Brunswick to PEI. The successful crossing will be completed without the aid of a wetsuit.
To all supporters...family, friends, colleagues, business associates and everyone who believes...thank you! Thank you for being a part of this journey. Thank you for your support!
It all begins here!
