As many of you know, Hank and Cat-cat were adopted from the Edmonton and Calgary Humane Society, respectively. I also volunteer with the Calgary Humane Society ("CHS") as a foster parent. I always wished I could do more, or take more animals in. But as we all know, sometimes one hardly has enough hours in a day, and there is an acceptable number of animals one can have in their home (before it turns into a zoo) and I am close to exceeding that. So I decided to try and support the Calgary Humane Society in my little way by signing up to do the 2021 Dog Jog to end animal cruelty.
In 2020, CHS took in approximately 2,800 animals, performed approximately 1,700 surgeries and provided 48,542 treatments to animals in their care. Sounds expensive, doesn't it? Well it really is. So please consider supporting CHS by making a monetary donation. Any amount truly helps.
Lucky, Hank and myself will be participating in the 2021 Dog Jog on June 5, 2021. If I'm honest, I likely will be walking most of the way as I will be carrying Lucky on my back as his little legs and heart won't be able to keep up.
Thanks for reading and hopefully supporting!
